Wedding shoes are one of the happiest things we make. The shape you want, in your true size, in the exact colour you pictured, comfortable enough to carry you through the whole day: that is what made to order means, and it is a lovely thing to open a box and find.

Handmade wedding shoes work differently from shop shelves. You describe the pair you want, and it gets made for you.

Every size from 34 to 48, in three widths

We make every model in every size from 34 to 48, and in three fits: narrow, standard and wide.

This is the part that matters most, and it is where made to order shines. If your feet are a 42, or a 35, or wider than average, your size is simply one of the sizes we make. Every pair starts with your feet, so the fit is never a compromise. The size is not something we stock; it is something we make.

Because every pair is cut to order, we ask for your foot length in centimetres after you order. Sizes shift depending on the last and the heel you choose, so a standard size chart can be misleading. We check your measurement before anything is cut.

Choose the heel you can actually stand in

Heels run from 2 cm to 6.5 cm, straight or curvy, and you choose.

A wedding day is a wonderful, long day on your feet: the ceremony, the photographs, the receiving line, the dancing. The right heel looks beautiful in the photographs and still feels wonderful at midnight.

If you want height, take it. If you feel most elegant at 2 cm, that is every bit as beautiful a choice. Every pair is padded with memory foam under the foot, whichever heel you choose.

The sole matters more outdoors than in

You choose the sole too, and for a wedding this is a practical decision rather than an aesthetic one.

Leather is the most slippery of the three and beautiful on a good indoor floor. It is durable outdoors too; the thing to know is that rain and damp grass will dull its slide.

Neolite sits between leather and rubber. It grips enough to feel secure, glides enough to turn on, and it does not mind being walked on. For most weddings this is the sensible answer.

Rubber plastic grips the most. If your ceremony is outdoors, on a lawn, on gravel or on a terrace, this is the one that will keep you upright.

There is also a half-and-half option: leather at the back, rubber at the front. You keep the slide where you pivot and get something to stop against at the front. If there is dancing later in the evening and walking earlier in the day, this is the pair that does both.

Real leather or vegan

Every model is available in real leather or vegan leather. The vegan option is the same shoe in a different material: the same construction, the same colours, the same choices.

Not only shoes

The wedding collection also includes dresses, a jumpsuit, hair accessories, and for the groom a tailormade jacket, vest and trousers. All of it is made the same way: to order, in your measurements, in the colour you choose.

It is possible to dress an entire wedding party from one workshop, in one style, cut for the people actually wearing it. That is unusual, and it is worth knowing before you assemble an outfit from five different shops.

When to order

Production takes 10 to 15 business days, and shipping is added on top of that.

For a wedding, order at least one month in advance. More is better. Weddings have a date that will not move, and we like to build in comfortable room so your pair arrives calm and early.

Before you order, write to us. Tell us the date, the model you are looking at, and anything specific about the fit or the colour. A short email before you place the order lets us get every detail exactly right from the start.

What you get

A pair of shoes made for one person, in the size that is actually your size, in the height you can stand in, in the colour you chose, padded so that you can wear them for twelve hours. Shipping to the USA, Europe and the UK is currently free.
